Recreation in Granada

The hidden gem of Spain...

Granada  is one of the most historic cities in Spain, the location of The Alhambra and many other prime examples of Moorish architecture.  It is also served by the Sierra Nevada Ski Station, an extensive resort offering a long season and one of the best ‘days of sunshine’ records in the world.

In addition it is the home of tapas.  The tradition of serving small plates of food along with drinks originated here and is an integral part of the culture.  Silverfield Villa has excellent food preparation facilities, but the local tapas has to be sampled.

Spain is now recognised as one of the greatest countries in the world for high end cuisine and Granada offers a huge choice of quality restaurants providing everything from paella to molecular gastronomy.

Proximity to several golf courses, excellent airport links, extensive nightlife and live entertainment are all additional reasons why Granada was chosen as the location of Silverfield Villa.
Granada and Malaga (70 miles distance) both have football teams in La Liga, the premier league of Spain.  There are ample opportunities throughout the year for guests at Silverfield Villa to see some of the world’s best teams including Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Cyclists regard the city as one of the best places in the world to ride, whether your preference is road or mountain biking. Walkers love it just as much whether they are taking a long stroll around the historic landmarks or an agressive climb to the peak of Mulhacen at almost 3500m altitude.
